Transition Training Program

Transition Training Program, also known as TTP, is an adult day program in Bakersfield supporting adults with disabilities through independent living skills and job training. Their work is deeply community minded, and the goal for this refresh was simple: create a space that feels welcoming, easy to use, and full of joy.

We refreshed the lobby with new paint, wall sconces, and flexible commercial grade furniture designed to adapt to daily needs. The founder’s office received a new paint plan with a feature wall and conference table seating. Throughout the office, photo galleries were thoughtfully installed to highlight clients participating in job training, volunteering, and wellness in action. Small group rooms were finished with a fun checkered wallpaper and clearer door numbers to support confidence and independence throughout the day.

As a former special education teacher, this project is especially near and dear to my heart. It was a joy to blend a long held passion for supporting individuals with disabilities with creating a space that is both functional and beautiful. Grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with TTP Kern and help shape an environment that supports their daily work and brings a little extra joy along the way.
