A Place to Land

This playroom was designed for a family beginning again. Built within a brand new home after the loss of their previous one due to fire, the space was intentionally shaped to feel grounding, gentle, and quietly familiar. Custom built-ins painted in a muted green anchor the room, while layered textures and warm materials soften the edges and invite everyday use.

Rather than feeling new for the sake of new, the room was designed to feel lived in from the start. A place for play and rest, for creativity and pause, for small moments that rebuild a sense of home over time. A playful floral motif carved into the custom air vent covers offers an unexpected moment of delight, while durable finishes and thoughtful storage ensure the space can evolve as the family does, holding both joy and resilience in equal measure.
