BCC Upstairs Sisters’ Suite

Some rooms simply stay with you, and this shared girls’ suite will always be one of our favorites.

Southworth Interior Design was thrilled to collaborate with Taylor Hedrick of RT Interiors (Rustic Trendz) to create a space that feels equal parts playful and polished. A hand-painted blush-and-ivory striped ceiling stretches wall to wall, turning the room’s angled ceiling lines into a feature moment and adding playful structure overhead. The perimeter walls are layered in a whimsical pink-and-blue toile, bringing pattern, story, and a timeless “little lady” charm.

To maximize function without sacrificing beauty, we integrated custom built-in dressers to keep everyday storage seamless and streamlined. Underfoot, a custom checkered rug grounds the palette and adds graphic contrast that keeps the room feeling fresh. Finished with ruffled textiles, scalloped details, and a hint of rattan for warmth and texture, the result is a joyful sister space designed to grow with them.
